My physical therapist told me about these unusual balls. He had me use them to loosen knots and increase blood flow in my arm. When he saw how much I liked them, he gave me the brochure to read and I ended up buying my own set.The circular indentations in the surface of the ball make it ideal for massage. I place the ball on a table, lay my arm on it and press down using my other hand to keep the arm horizontal. Then I roll my arm back and forth over the ball. The pressure changes because of the design, similar to the way the therapist massages the arm applying pressure in different places with his fingers. Standing on the balls in bare feet is like a foot massage. You adjust your weight placement and it moves the pressure points. It's really amazing!
