They are wonderful when actually on the wall, but as soon as I touch the ground they have to come off. I've heard the same thing about most other aggressive shoes, so I wasn't too surprised. They were true to size for me, I just went off the sizing chart available on the la sportiva website and measured my foot. I went from a tight-fitting (read as "correctly fit climbing shoe") 40.5 scarpa veloce's to an equally tight-fitting 40 in the Solutions. I've had them for 2 months, gym climbing 4 days a week and the shoes look barely used other than a nice coating of chalk. I will note that I try to save these for when I really need to put on my game face for those tough problems; however more often than not, I end up simply using these the whole session other than warming up.I wouldn't (and didn't) toss your old, less-aggressive shoes, because you will notice a difference on certain problems (or routes, you rope-lovers) when you need to smear or use a larger, concave foot-hold, or anything else along those lines.
