| 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful  Nicely detailed, durable pants, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Mountain Khakis Men's Granite Creek Convertible Pant (Apparel) Received these pants the morning before a rock climbing trip to Joshua Tree National Park.Decided to put these on instead of heavier weight softshell pants for breathability. But they offer so much more: 1. Attention to detail is just right, the zipper sits higher up the leg so it won't annoy your knee. 2. The zipped pocket (right side only) is fantastic, and it is deep too. 3. The cut is loose, none restrictive, a little baggy at the leg but I guess that means it can accommodate boots. The zipper is short, it kind of has a longer/looser back then the front. 4. The fabric is thin, but super durable. I climbed two full days on abrasive rocks in Joshua Tree. With my beginner skill, areas like knees, side and back of the hips and shanks are put to the ultimate test. Triple stitching at the main pressure points, amazing moisture whicking, great pockets with three zipping security pockets AND ankle zippers for when you want to switch to shorts and you're on the trail. After all, it's never too fun to take your pants off to convert over, right? ;-) While they are at the same time very lightweight, you can tell that they can take a beating and keep going strong.
